Tournaments
Though teaching is my expertise, I'm comfortable with tournament operations, planning, and scoreboard calligraphy. I was a member of the PGA Golf Management Student Society Tournament Committee at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs from 2017 to 2018, then oversaw the Tournament Committee and all other aspects of the PGM Student Society serving as President from 2018 to 2019. On internship with Eagle Ranch Golf Club, I assisted with tournament operations and took the lead on the annual Adult/Junior Golf Tournament. Further developing my organization skills, I facilitated up to four weekly simulator leagues with 30 to 42 golfers per league and a variety of tournament formats at XGolf Denver Tech Center.
Golf Made Simple Partner Facilities
While teaching Golf Made Simple schools I worked with 12 premier facilities to deliver smooth and well organized golf programs. This included aligning with tournament schedules, adapting to golf shop procedures, collaborating with outside services, coordinating with food & beverage management, and understanding available accommodations. I'm grateful for the opportunity to learn from some of the industry's best how to seamlessly blend golf instruction into a busy golf operation.
Golf Shop & Outside Service Operations
Beginning in 2016 at Estes Park Golf Course, I was introduced to outside services, junior golf programming, starter procedures, and work with golf shop staff. This is where I cultivated a passion for being a golf professional. My first PGA Golf Management internship at Eagle Ranch Golf Club was the perfect, well-rounded experience. I was empowered to dive into all aspects of the golf operation ... Providing me with the ability to identify instruction as my greatest passion. During my time in school at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, I also added to my golf operation experience becoming an asset in the golf shop and assisting with instruction programs at Cherokee Ridge Golf Course.
